Auburn A-Day

It was a hot but fun A-Day. Kyle enjoyed Aubie and his friends mostly. The tix were only $5 but we spent $200 in "snacks". Ha, not $200 but really a lot. We had a blast hanging out and got a few so so pics. While Kyle was too bashful to take pics with the cheerleaders, the twins (my nieces) took all they could. We love this AU tradition. To end and cap off the day, my car battery was dead when we returned so we have an extra hour to enjoy campus;) Warrrrr Eagle!

Great Birthday
What a great birthday!!! This is my last year for me to have a 2 as the first # of my age and it was a great one. I actually relaxed and spent great time with my boys. Many friends and family shared their bday wishes on facebook and it was neat! Thanks to all for your kindness and greetings.

Our Day with Thomas
Our Day Out with Thomas was an exciting adventure. We entered the world of Thomas & Friends in Calera this past Sunday along with many others. The event included a ride on board a train led by Thomas, a Sir Topham Hatt visit and much more! The boys with big cousin Kade enjoyed the petting zoo as well. We could have stayed at the farm for this part. Dad along with Pop could not contain their excitement for most of the day! Ha! They enjoyed the polish dogs and other tasty food.Saturday, March 21, 2009
My Son Grows Up
My Son Grows Up author: unknown
Life is fleeting, years rush past... and little boys grow up so fast! Let me take time out to be thankful mine is still here with me. And though I'm busy through the day, let me take time out to play... Let me take time out to smile, to sit with him for just a while... Let me take time out for walks, for swings and sports and quiet talks, for sharing giggles, tickles, and hugs, for patching knees and catching bugs... for running races, climbing trees, for helping with his A - B - C's... For hatching plots and planning schemes, for listening to his thoughts and dreams. Let me tuck him in at night, hear his prayers, turn off the light. And when my busy day is done, let me thank God I have a son.

tHE fACEBOOK fRENZY
The Facebook Frenzy - Oh it has got me.....I waited forever before I actually joined the FB crowd but I eventually did. It is soooo addicting. Every time my Blackberry buzzes, I am thinking wow who has sent a friend request or updated their status. It is wonderful actually. I have been able to catch up with friends that I have not seen or spoken to in years. It helps with keeping up with the latest play date and bday party and so much more. Now, I really do not care that people update status with "is getting a haircut" or "is taking a shower" but is does help you send prayers or warm wishes when someone post "is sick" or "is interviewing". Overall it is great.
Enjoying Spring!
Welcome Spring! Today was a great day of enjoying the sunshine with friends and power wheels! Kyle and his 3 of his friends took on the hills - or mountains I should say - with their bikes as us moms tried to get some exercise. It was actually hilarious see us carry the bikes and the kids for the most part;) After the hike we played as they rode power wheels in the yard. We enjoyed the wonderful weather and were sweating at times. Pics will be posted soon.
